I am a Chicago math teacher and a creator of Math Chicago website that focuses on helping students to learn techniques of solving difficult math problems. I hold masters degree in mathematics from Holy Cross University in Poland and master of online teaching from University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently I am a math professor at Chicago City Colleges and math instructor for gifted elementary school students. I have worked with mathematically interested students for all my teaching career and have successfully prepared students for local, national and international Mathematics competitions.

Since the year 2000 I've been involved in organizing and preparing annual Math Kangaroo Competition. Math Chicago, inspired by Math Kangaroo Organization, was created at the request of many wonderful teachers and parents who care for their children’s future and their math education. Encouraged by  students and their parents Math Chicago is proud to offer e-classes for elementary school students that focus on preparing them for the annual Math Kangaroo competition as well as Mathcounts, the Math and Logic Contest, Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools, Crazy for Math and Intelligence Tests. It is not so much about winning but more about becoming stronger student in math and better human beings for the benefit of themselves and others. All children have capacity to be smarter, stronger in mathematics and more positive about the things they do and the subjects they study about.

George Polya, a great mathematician once said "Solving problems is a practical art, like swimming, or skiing, or playing the piano: you can learn it only by imitation and practice. . . . if you wish to learn swimming you have to go in the water, and if you wish to become a problem solver you have to solve problems. ("Mathematical Discovery" George Polya)
